Sensory Scientists

Embark on a tactile adventure with our ‘Sensory Scientists’ workshop! Designed to stimulate all five senses, this session engages participants through hands-on experimenting in volcano making, sensory play, and creative art activities. Perfect for young explorers, each activity is tailored to enhance sensory awareness and cognitive skills.

🎨 Art Therapy

During this activity, the group will focus on collaborative creative exploration of scientific phenomena using 2D and 3D sculptural multi-media art-making techniques. The various activities will entail using a mix of naturally found objects, traditional art materials and typical cooking ingredients. To evoke curiosity and facilitate new discoveries about the natural world we inhabit while developing cognitive problem-solving skills and broader art-making methods. Activities will include:

 
 

🎵 Music Therapy

In this session, we will immerse ourselves in a sensory experience that enhances auditory processing. Through the creation of soundscapes inspired by scientific themes, they will learn to connect different auditory stimuli with the scientific concepts explored in the art therapy session.

This workshop aims to enhance sensory processing and integration while developing fine motor skills through hands-on experiments. Farmyard-1

Farmyard Friends

Experience the joys of rural life with our Farmyard Friends workshop. Participants engage in the creation of life through planting, painting, and interactive activities. This hands-on session educates and entertains while enhancing fine motor skills, sensory awareness, and creativity. It also promotes ecological awareness and an appreciation for nature and environmental sustainability, fostering a connection to the natural world.

🎨 Art Therapy 
The group participants will dive into creating a fun-filled farmyard experience that engages reflective, imaginative thinking. Creative artmaking activities will include clay sculpting and painting the farm animals and their friends, 3D constructed farmyards, dwellings and farm vehicles, and completed with the farm’s own mascot scarecrow. This session encourages free expression, individuality, self-directed and collaborative group engagement and building social connections while fostering an appreciation of a sustainable world.
 
🎵 Music Therapy
 Through the exploration of farm sounds, we will engage with various musical instruments to recreate the soundscape of a farmyard. This group activity will allow participants to collaborate and build a comprehensive auditory representation of farm life. Activities will include:

Wizards-1

Magic & Wizardry

Step into a world of enchantment with our Magic and Wizardry workshop. Participants will explore captivating stories, enhancing their Expression, Emotional Regulation, and fine motor skills. Activities include mural painting, decorating cupcakes in magical themes, mask making, crafting wizard’s hats, and dress-up games. This therapeutic session fosters imagination, emotional expression, and social interaction, perfect for those with vivid imaginations.

🎨 Art Therapy

Participants will join in to create magic and wizardry-themed costume accessories and props, including hats, masks, magic potions and wands to cast magical spells as they actively engage in an exciting journey of wizardry and fantasy-inspired magic themes. Participants are also invited to come along in dress up in costume from home. This Art making session draws upon the creative problem-solving skills and self-expression through fantasy-based dramatic play.


 

 

🎵 Music Therapy

In this magical session, we will collaborate to compose a unique "magic spell" song. By using a variety of instruments to mimic magical sounds, participants will learn to associate different sounds with the mystical themes explored in the art therapy session.

Studio Sessions

Explore sound, technology, and art in our Studio Sessions workshop! Participants will create a music project, experiment with instruments, technology, and visual arts. Limited in size for personalised attention, this session fosters creativity, social interaction, and collaboration. Incorporating music and art therapy, participants enhance self-expression and emotional well-being through visual arts projects. Ideal for young creatives, this workshop culminates in a finished piece showcasing their skills and creativity.

🎨 Art Therapy 
 Together, the group will explore concepts in designing artwork that will illustrate a music album cover to the group’s original music composition. We will pull together an array of experimental mixed media art techniques including chalk drawing, oil pastel line drawing and painting to achieve a collaboratively produced finished product.
 
The artmaking process will promote free artistic expression and expose participants to creative idea generation, teamwork and negotiated decision-making to arrive at a finished branded music product.
 
🎵 Music Therapy
The group will be introduced to sound recording and basic studio techniques, creating personal soundtracks that complement their visual art. This guided session provides an opportunity to learn about the art creation process music and visual art, enhancing their understanding of both mediums in a safe and secure environment
