About Michael

Michael graduated with his Master of Social Work degree from Flinders University in 2021, and is exploring opportunities for continued growth in support coordination and suicide prevention.

Michael is a registered member of the Australian Community Worker Association. Prior to the role of Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, Michael had worked as a support worker with teenagers from NDIS background, as well as a Specialist Support Coordinator with NDIS participants experiencing psychosocial disabilities and substance abuse.

Advocate for Person-Centred Approach

Michael specialises in working with children and young people and NDIS participants through supporting them in accessing community, inclusive sports, communication and active listening.

Michael believes that a person-centred approach with appropriate interpersonal skills, would be an efficient method for building rapport with the participants, ensuring that service is delivered with satisfaction and high quality.

Beyond Work

My hobbies are cooking, playing basketball and exploring Japanese and German high-performance cars.

Behaviour Support is a relatively new role in the industry, though it is a challenging one but it is helping me to understanding the client's struggle and how I should be helping them. It is a very good opportunity to practice my professional skills.
