Meet Kristiaan Spronk

About Kristiaan

Kristiaan holds a 1st Class Honours Degree in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of South Australia, complemented by a Diploma in Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology. He is currently in the process of finishing his internship to achieve full psychological registration, with plans to pursue a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology in the future.

 

His experience encompasses many areas: change management, anxiety, and trauma-based challenges, psychosocial issues, grief and loss, mood disorders, phobias, crisis, and suicide-related interventions.

 

 

Advocate for Person-Centred Approach

Kristiaan utilises a person-centred approach, focusing on individual strengths and values. He combines evidence-based practices from various therapeutic frameworks such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Positive Behaviour Support, and Acceptance-Commitment Therapy.

 

Kristiaan aims to empower clients and facilitate positive change, helping them identify, understand, and address their needs to lead their best lives.

 

 

Beyond Work

Beyond his role at Hessel Group, Kristiaan devotes his time to helping vulnerable individuals in the community. He volunteers with St John and as a crisis supporter with Lifeline, highlighting his dedication to positively impacting people's lives.

 

My goal is to help clients identify, understand, and address their needs and empower them in working towards living their best life.
