About Jay

Jonathon or 'Jay'  boasts an impressive academic background with a Bachelor of Psychological Science from Adelaide University and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology: Advanced from Monash University. He is working towards completing his Ph.D. via Melbourne University and Orygen Youth Mental Health, showcasing his commitment to lifelong learning.

His vast experience spans various facets of community services, including mental health, child protection, disability, and psychosocial support. He believes in person-centred care, where all aspects of an individual’s recovery should be respected and be self-driven.

Jay enjoys leading empowered teams and has a real passion for research, personal development, and seeking out the most effective therapies to use within his practice.

Jay's passion for community involvement knows no bounds, and his innovative initiatives truly make a difference in people's lives. Jay is dedicated to making a difference in the community and creating meaningful opportunities for giving back.

As the co-founder of the beloved Norton Summit pub, The Scenic Hotel, Jay goes beyond his work in mental health by blending it with the pub environment. He has transformed the surrounding spaces into a horticulture therapy site, providing an environment for individuals undergoing mental health support programs.
